Merry Christmas, Jane. That is a funny story!

My little boy had the flu, which he circulated to me.
Of course, he was well in a couple of days!
But, I was prepared for Christmas. I bought all his presents by the 17th of December. He loved them.

His favorite presents:

Pixter (sp?)
Computer software
New Gameboy (in color)
Microscope
Sports stuff

It is interesting to compare his favorites with those of my neice, who is the same age. She got all of the girl stuff, and when she called this morning, he wanted to tell her about bugs, and how the microscope allowed him to see them closer. He is very entertaining, even when he mentions bugs.
I am not a bug person either!

Merry Christmas to you!

:)Leigh

Jane, my 2001 movies for little people:

I forgot to tell you, the "Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius," was a big, favorite movie for my little boy. He thought that one was so cool, and it was well made.

Monsters Inc. and Shrek were not really interesting to him.

He doesn't want to see "Harry Potter," and I am in agreement with him.

He also enjoyed "Spy Kids," which I bought on video. That was another favorite!

I enjoyed "the Princess Diaries," but that is a movie that my neice enjoyed more.

Christmas Day is a good movie day, but I have run out of movies that he can see!

Hey gang....Been swamped....Happry Holidays, and happy new years.

For the new year, we (7 couples - 14 adults, 14 kids) rented 7 cabins in the woods and celebrated the New years.
It was cold in NJ/PA this weekend. So many layers were nescessary.

We decided to have a "Fake new years" at 9pm, so the kids could celebrate before going to bed (the younger ones).

During the "9pm celebration", between hugs, I look over & see Emilie sitting in the corner just watching.
She didn't sleep well the night before, so I thought it might have been her just being tired.

I walk over to here, and sit next to her watching the others celebrate.
She confides in me that she knows its only 9pm, and not really new years.

She was upset that she couldn't stay up & celebrate the real new years with me.

So, 12 midnight, 25 degrees around the campfire under a full moonlit night.

Emilie was the only kid still awake with 14 adults as 2002 RANG IN :-)

Happy New Years!!!
Dave
