From 1948-67, before settlements, Pal terrorists, operating from Jordan, regularly attacked and slaughtered Israeli civilians. From 1900 to 1948, they attacked the jews in pre-Israel Palestine. There is nothing new here and it has nothing to do with settlements. They just want to kill the Jews.

>>"BTW what do pizza parlors and shopping malls, etc. have to do with settlements off in the hills, anyway?<<"

Brumar89, as I understand, the Israelis occupy 22% of the Gaza Strip with 6000+ people and the 78% remainder of the Gaza has 1,000,000+ Palestinians. Also the 22% in Gaza is some of it's best beachfront property, not some isolated hill country. Maybe the Palestinians think that 22% would be a good place to stick their pizza parlors and shopping malls to service the 1,000,000+ Palestinians who want to use their beach.

Good question.

Guerilla warefare is never a pretty picture.

Barak, talked peace, all the while built more settlements than any of his predecessors.

That is the way things go in the ME.

Those settlements should be properly named, ie. Fort Ma’ale Adumim, Fort Jebel Abu Ghnaim and Fort Adam etc.
