Doesn't seem to me that we had to invade the Soviet Union to cause its collapse.

Did I miss some part of history?

Great powers rise, great powers fall.

There will come a time when we are no longer the greatest military power in the world.

I only hope that the countries which replace us as military powers are more considerate of us than we now are of certain less powerful countries.
