I think the difference is that we're using the term belittle differently. I used the word, belittle, because that was the word you used. My preferred word from the list given me in feedback would be patronize. That was the word used during the earlier discussion. It's the one with which I most identify. It is no more patronizing for me to imply the Santa believers need help than for you to imply that the non-believers need help. Neither of us meant to be hurtful. We both apologized. I'm still waiting for someone to tell me why you can express your view with impunity and I can't. I don't care what word we use to describe the offense taken from the remarks. If you don't like "patronize," pick something else. Karen
