Looks like you blew that one big time.
Intel's Pentium 4 hit over 20 million units in 2001 - according to Merrill Lynch - and surpassed Athlon shipments (not Athlon + Duron) for the entire year.
And that was based on 200 MM/0.18 micron processes.
