Elmer: If anything they would move their development work to F25 where Droids are claiming underutilization. Why take your gravy train offline when you can do the development work elsewhere, or better still, they have others doing the work for them.

Of the others, IBM and Motorola, the latter doesn't have anything to do with the process development at this late stage. It's unclear what IBM's involvement was / is, since few details of the agreement emerged.

You cannot simply move the Cu+SOI process development to Austin, a fab that is not at all prepared for Cu and is also in the process of being converted to flash.

The bulk and SOI .13µm processes are being "refined", if nothing else, at Dresden. This takes wafer starts. How many? *shrug*
