Not from its core businesses - not from IABG?
Pray tell, from where have these profits come?
You're starting to sound like pgerassi and Dan3.

Huh? What are you talking about.....Intel earned 2 cents per share last quarter. They could have started a penny drive among their employees early on in the quarter, or they could have put their cash in corporate bonds and made that kind of EPS with the interest thrown off by the bonds, or they could have sold some of their investment stock. The bottom line: its not hard for a corporation the size of Intel with as many pots with which it has to play to come up with $.02 EPS per quarter. That's like asking the rooster to come up with some eggs.

Now you really didn't think it came from IABG, did you? You can't be that naive. Intel is in a price war with AMD. Do you think that means they shave their profits by a little bit...like 10%? I don't think so!

Why do you think Intel never divulges its microprocessor's ASPs? AMD does! How much do you think they lose per chip as it heads into the channels? There ain't no profit coming in from no IABG...not in 2001.

Sanders isn't like Barrett......an employee. He leaves when he wants to leave.
Yes - you AMD investors bestow royalty status upon Jerry

Royalty, hardly! You just don't get it...he started the company. It may be public but he "owns" it. Intel's Andy Grove is long gone from the day to day operations of Intel. Apparently, Sanders has stronger staying power.

Sanders - and in turn, he has given you the Royal Shaft.

Really? Last cyle, I bought AMD pre split from $17 to $26, and I sold from $75 to $90; If that's the shaft, frankly, I wish Sanders gave me the shaft more often. <g>

But I have to be fair, Sanders didn't do it all on his own......he had some help from his friends....like C. Barrett! But then, what are good friends for?

Have a good one!
