Heard about all the Canadians who come to the US for "elective" treatment?

Heard about all the American elderly that do to Mexico and the Canada to get their prescriptions filled?

Heard about Rep Dan Burton sending his wife to Germany for cancer treatment?

Heard about how high the infant mortality rate is in the US compared to other western countries?

Heard about how low the life expectancy rate is compared to other countries?

Under statist systems, politicians and high-level government bureaucrats get good medical care and everybody else gets leftovers; screwed, basically.

Conservative BS. Did it ever occur to you folks that Medicare and Medicaid are statist systems. And that the US has a combination of statist and private health care. Wake up, those other countries have a combination of statist systems and private health care also. If you've got money you can get treatment. The blend of private and public health care is different.

Under capitalist systems, if you can get money, you get treated quickly; otherwise you end up in the American equivalent of Canada's system.

Not quite. Under the US system, if you don't have enough money to qualify for medicare, you don't get treatment. If you're old enough to qualify for Social Security but don't have money you don't get the services. There are no waiting lists in the US. You either get the services or you don't.

Do you speak from personal experience??...Altho the Canadian system is far from perfect, it does have many benefits not found in the US system. If you would open your eyes, you might know that...
