How can a minority of fr speaking people control Canada? 1. They have gerrymandered Quebec so that it has an unequal number of ridings to its population. The population votes the liberal party or a split to the bloc which kills the opposition in power or elects the liberals with a majority with a majority of fr. speaking members. This has been the case since 1968. 2. The liberals and conservative have kowtowed to Quebec threats to leave giving them concessions in opting out or vetoing fed legislation allowing them to persecute the English minority. (Language fr. employment mandates and education laws.) 3. The country was declared officially bilingual forcing the feds and the provinces to spend money on English language services. Quebec opts out and does it to its convenience. What would the fr. controlled feds to if English speaking provinces opted out and banned bilingualism? 4. The federal civil service AND the mealy mouthed Ontario civil service have made ALL executive positions officially bilingual mandatory (or near all in the Ontario case) which means the more bilingual minority dominates the civil service and the officership of the armed services. There is no adequacy test of English ability of a fr. speaker. So bilingual means native fr. speaker. 5. The liberal feds pork barrel shamelessly into Quebec transferring 2/3's of all federal tax dollars to Quebec government AND handing ALL federal government contracts to Quebec or fr. speaking firms. The entire Canadian aviation industry and space industry was handed to Quebec on a platter. 6. They have alerted fr. speaking firms or board members to gov't intiatives in advance allowing insider trading and underbidding to take place. Loan gurantess through the FDB and Caisse Populaire have given fr. speaking business the edge, bigtime. 7. Quebec firms bid agressively with secret intelligence gathered by the Quebec gov't on contracts in all provinces. This is not allowed from province to quebec. English bids are ignored or filed in W14 for technicalitues related to fr. language errors. There are no laws in transportation of goods into other provinces. Quebec stops all contractors and commercial licenses from English provinces at the border and hassles or turns them back. Quebec workers work in other provinces. Massive red tape or no go the other way. That is only seven reasons. There is a book of reasons. The fr. want their cake and to eat it too. The English can eat cake if bread runs out. "Vive la Quebec libre. - Je me souviens. (I remember the battle of the plains of Abraham. -- on the license plate no less!) - Victory of the cradle. etc etc..." They cannot win but they cannot lose.
