amd's prices are lower than intel's, no doubt about it, but you have to keep in mind that amd is trying to win acceptance while intel already have one. Also do remember that amd is not alone at price decreases; intel's prices dropped below normal as well.
re: One does not know when levels reach "steady state".
equlibrium states may be defined as targets in underlying expectation process. Since the decline in price was consistent with market rather than earnings one "may" make some rough assumptions about future expectations vs earnings without going into details of defining the price process and targets (drifts). Intel's behavior was consistent with market as well but intell did not suffer amd's losses.
Hence I stand by my original statement
