This really hit the nail on the head for me.

And loving our county doesn't necessarily mean loving the central government<g> Except for his SEC appointments, Bush has assembled an excellent team. But the left will return to power some day and our private economy will be painted as the bad guy.

The problem with Canada is that a huge chunk of the entreprenurial energy is living south of the border because, well, this is where the money is. The differences in pay between the two countries is staggering, at least for professionals.
