All I really have to say is look at their capitalization and their cash flow statement. Your system isn't so far off. Plus, they still employ "gain on sale" accounting; take that away and earnings are less than nil.

And no, CCR to my knowledge does not finance mobile homes. That is Conseco and GreenPoint (although GreenPoint announced today that they are getting out of the mobile home business, which has its stock up 4 bucks).

All these companies are huge liquidity accidents waiting to happen; Conseco has largely already happened. They'll all be Providian-sized in the end, but man is Greenpoint hurting today.

Cheers

Any opinions on Shire (SHPGY), which looks to my untrained eye to be thinking about breaking down out of a 2-year range??

Cheers
