Very interesting read -- thanks for posting. So far it seems that Northwood edged the Athlon out slightly in many tests but never (even in Quake III) much more than what you would expect from the clock-speed increase compared to the QuantiSpeed rating. So it seems AMD's model rating will be still working next year and there will be several applications where the Athlon XP still rules.

thanks for the info! It seems that, once again, AMD will not be roadkill after all.

I forgot to count how many times AMD was already said to be roadkill during the last two years. Maybe certain analysts are going to learn some day?

I believe that in the current stock price a big "roadkill-fear" is priced in. If that event does not take place there might be quite a lot of room for the stock to move upwards.

Or maybe certain analysts (not all, BTW) will come out with another roadkill story once again...
