Mike:

Glad to see the new year is treating you well. I have been eyeballing Haliburton, but it seems destined for bankruptcy - based on its stock price performance. It is unfortunate, but from what I have seen, there has not been a single company tainted with the "asbestos millstone" that has not been forced to declare bankruptcy. I think that without significant torte reform in this area, its a foregone conclusion. Once the claims get to be high enough that they can cite them as overwhelming liabilities, I think they have no choice but to join the rest of the companies and file.

It is unfortunate, as it appears to be a truly great company and one I would think is waaaay undervalued....

Ahh Zegna! Yes, my fingers were crossed when I saw some Zegna articles at Bluefly. But, alas, the suits were not my size. Thanks for the heads-up. I'll check again.

Michael, I'm looking for a good book on early Scottish history--B.C. to 1800...suggestions?

Thanks
