I don't mean to disappoint you but I have had cable modem service for 3 years. Mine went on the blink today but I was told by Comcast that I would have to wait 2 weeks for service (which of course I found totally unacceptable). I called Verizon today to install DSL, and am cancelling my Digital Cable as soon as I get a dish installed. Overall I will save $. The cable reps whom I spoke with were totally apathetic. Typical of cable companies, service shoots the gunner in the foot.
