Looks like the builders are following your script. Up early today and starting to slide. Added to my TOL short this AM. Got some HAL at 9.00 which may have been too high, but I was playing with my grandaughter at the open and missed it. Good luck to all on this one.

Jim

This HAL drop is amazing without hard news. If they drop a bombshell now, there is going to be some serious discussion of Reg FD. I think it would have to be BK rather than more asbestos suits. The lawyers chasing the asbestos money are so out of control that thousands of companies are facing the same thing.

Earlier from the WSJ....

The number of asbestos defendants also has risen sharply, from about 300 in the 1980s, to a few thousand today and most are users of the product, not manufacturers (Standard & Poor's). These companies represent at least half of all U.S industries (RAND) and include automakers, shipbuilders, textile mills, retailers, insurers, shipbuilders, electric utilities and virtually any company involved in manufacturing or construction in the last thirty years.

There has to be a full-court press going on in DC and state capitols to deal with this insanity. Less than a thousand people die from asbestosis annually in this country but there are close to 5 million claims outstanding.

John
