Hi Clappie,

You weenie!

<g>

Your a sucker for those cute little faces just like me.

Whenever I go in those places I start thinking about how many I could actually take home. How hard would it be to start up one of those "Save the animals" places you hear and read about.....but then...reality comes back......

...speaking of which....

Man, I wish I could write like you. My thoughts fly through my head faster then I can write(or type)em down.

....and now......now I have to write "The Commodore's Corner" in our yacht clubs news letter each month. The first, is due to our secretary this Sunday.

Commodores outline:

1) Hi
2) Happy New Year
3) Looking forward to a great season
4) Be safe
5) Bye

DOH!

Got some work to do........

Any idears??

:0)

Good story, Clappy.

You would have a hard time in SE Asia. I can't tell you how many two-bit "zoos" I saw over there.

In Cambodia, I was at the pool behind the hotel, swimming some laps....and I kept hearing this muffled, whiney growl. But I couldn't see where it was coming from. I went to investigate. Behind some bamboo and palms, was a cage with two Malaysia Sun Bears in it. It was so desolate and disgusting.......those two sad little bears, literally going nuts in that little place. When they saw me, their eyes lit, they stuck their arms out, begging for some contact.....I cut some palm fronds and bamboo to give them because they had nothing green or alive in their cage. They just absolutely adored them. They literally hugged the greens. Threw them in the air, put them on their heads...they loved them.

Then I went to the management and asked them why they had these two penned up. They said they were raised in a home and got too big (of course) and the owner didn't want them to become Chinese medicine ingredients, or food.....so there they ended up.

It was really sad.....I saw so much of it............

I gave those two lots of greens and talked to them, and gave them a lot of time while I was there. Unfortunately thats all I could do.

Enjoy the kitty
The Dachsund probably only needs love. They are great little dogs, very humorous.
