No matter what transpires Sunday between the Eagles and the Bucs, it will have no bearing on their pending playoff encounter, save maybe for providing the respective coaching staffs some new but minute information on an old foe. Neither franchise can advance its current playoff standing with a victory. Nor will a defeat cause the loser to plummet in the NFC postseason bracket. As champions of the NFC East, the Eagles are locked in as the No. 3-seeded team in the conference. Owners of the final wild card invitation, the Buccaneers are seeded sixth and can't do any better than that. Which raises the question: Should both teams simply take a knee for the first three snaps of every offensive possession and then just punt?
