A better example might be how the Allies dropped leaflets over Germany saying that Dresden would be the new capital of Germany after the war and wouldn't be bombed. Once the city was packed with civilians [and no military targets]...we bombed the shit out of it. I read the links you posted. I failed to see ANYTHING supporting that statement. And you asked for "sources" and I gave you "sources". Because you haven't gone through all the sources, isn't my fault. But would that matter anyway? You would not believe the CIA, you have not accepted AP Wires. I don't see anything special about any of the sources that I listed that you would accept...if you didn't feel like it. Sounds like out British friends had a great deal more to do with this than the US, too. Maybe you should ask your socialist buds over there how many of them are war criminals. I did use the terms "Allies" and "we" [referring to Allies] I have not found the Brits to avoid admitting when their hands are dirty in any of their history. Dresden isn't any different. War criminals are the losers. It also must be said the the precision part worked much better in theory than in practice. The technology of the time did not permit this. The Allies kept hitting the center of Dresden over multiple nights and missing the military targets to the north of the city. Exactly imprecise over multiple nights. It could also be that Feb 1945 was prime tourist season for the Germans and consequently they were touring the cathedrals and museums in Dresden; which would explain why the city was swollen with civilians. It is possible. Try to prove that it wasn't. I failed to see ANYTHING supporting that statement And what have you shown me supporting the statement the Reagan bankrupted the Soviets with SDI? No nuclear forces buildup? No expansion of the Soviet ABM system. You can't believe the CIA. The Soviet budget is black. That's a really solid case. Shall we rehash your belief of how much better the US health care system and why? How about a synopsis of your case of the dominance of the US in technical and economic innovation? Perhaps how you bashed me in the crumbling European cities with your op-ed piece that relied on a single observation of groups of young non-white males idle in the largest and quite active port in the world with the lowest unemployment rate in Europe, comparable to the US, and with a lower murder rate, higher literacy rate, lower infant mortality rate, higher life expectancy...You know the one that doesn't have an immigrant problem other than the groups of non-white males that are idle...that one. BTW. I haven't fogotten the question on Reagan's budget. jttmab
