Do you prefer June bearing to ever bearing?

I tried Tristar, a day neutral strawberry, Shortcake, an ever bearing strawberry, and an Alpine strawberry last year. I was disappointed in the flavor of all 3. Tristar and Shortcake were very productive and produce many large size good looking berries even into November. However, the flavor of any of these 3 wasn't any improvement over the commercial strawberries you get from California in the spring. Hence I suggested two June bearing strawberries, which are commonly uses as standards to evaluate new varieties.
