>I am very happy that he is alive, but don't you think that you people are all giving the doctors, nurses, and orderlies the total shaft by crediting magical supernatural beings for his recovery? Did you thank your deities instead of the US government when the Taliban fell, and did you praise the spirits instead of the engineers when the K7 turned out to be a fantastic design?

Being a non-god-boy myself, I have to agree with you there... didn't wanna go there though, but now that you have... well, I still won't.

May the force be with you, Petz! :)

<font color=blue>JC, God blessed those Doctors with their Talent. And God created a wonderful body who can also heal itself. Every atom has God's will on it as most physics defy logic. Logic cannot explain how a electron can travel at 1/3 the speed of light yet not escape it's orbit. Nor can any science explain how a cell can divide on it's own and shift and given points to form different cells or even yet how a plant can sever molecular bonds with almost no energy and yet man has to use lots of energy to do the same. It's our faith that God created all things and IMO he still exerts forces to keep his creation working. The Universe is FAR to complex to just happened by a random occurrence IMO.

M.

P.S. I'm sure John thanked both the Dr.'s and God.

JC, Now some believe and some do not and Petz does, so I respect his beliefs and make my comments in keeping with them.
Now a staph infection that has entered the internal body cavities is one the the most life threatening of all.
Peritonitis is one term for it when it is in the abdominal cavity, I do not know what it is called in heart cavity in the chest, but I do know that it attacks all the membranes about the heart and is one of the gravest of illnesses and requires immediate treatment by specialists, to whom Petz is doubtless grateful.

No way I would praise the spirits for the K7 design, since I do not believe in spirits(except for distilled spirits, for medicinal purposes only, you understand).

Bill

You have seen Johns posts. Aren't most of them beyond human comprehension or help? Why do you think his body is any different? <ggg>

I didn't want to be the first to point out that people have been known to recover from remarkable odds without the power of prayer. But what the heck? We can't prove it didn't work and as long as he pulled through he's entitled to thank whoever he wants.

It is somewhat ironic that a stark confrontation with the actuality of one's mortality often serves to reinforce many people's belief in everlasting life.

Very off topic, JC!

<I am very happy that he is alive, but don't you think that you people are all giving the doctors, nurses, and orderlies the total shaft by crediting magical supernatural beings for his recovery?>

I think you're giving God the total shaft by relegating him to the level of superstition. ;-)

From the way Petz describes his experience, his faith goes well beyond superstition.
