Taiwan's Powerchip 2001 sales down 41.4 pct y/y
TAIPEI, Jan 7 (Reuters) - Taiwan memory chip firm Powerchip Semiconductor <5346.TWO> said on Monday it made sales of T$11.16 billion in 2001, down 41.4 percent from a year ago.

The company said in a statement December sales declined 61.55 percent on-year to T$740.8 million, but gained 38 percent from November's T$535.56 million thanks to rising demand for DRAM products.

The statement came after close of trade on Monday. Powerchip shares ended flat at T$25.50, while the over-the-counter TAISDAQ
