Atheism is not a belief in the same way that theism is. Bill atheism is the belief that no god or divine being or force exists. Like theism it is a belief about a religious subject without proof. Also one can say "I believe in atheism", even though that is a less common way of stating an atheist belief. dictionary.com a·the·ism (th-zm) n. 1. a.Disbelief in or denial of the existence of God or gods. b.The doctrine that there is no God or gods. You certainly can believe in the doctrine that there is no God or gods. Tim
