Last month I saw a nice four function calculator in a blister pack in a hardware store listed @ $2.95, long ago these were well in excess of $100. Not saying we'll see cell phones in blister packs going for that price, but the trend is in that direction and this is another step in that direction, IMO. As to turnover, I went through a bunch of calculators, but haven't "upgraded" in about 10 years, my battery free, light powered, Sharp EL-510S still works fine for my needs.

In QCOM's favor is that we are still in the ascent in market penetration and functionality, but IMO, the decrease in ASP's will make it hard to grow revenue. I look forward to upgrading my QCP-2035 at least a few more times. As to QCOM's stock, I'm not that optimistic although I continue to hold some, cover calls have helped a bit over the last two years.
