>I don't know about 3.0GHz, but one of the reviews yesterday (I think it was Johan's on Ace's), did say that he's gotten 2.53GHz stable from a 2.2GHz, but he was not very successful overclocking an XP 2000+.

Ummm... as is to be expected... XP 2000+ is likely the end of the Athlon line on .18 micron, while Northwood 2.2 GHz is the beginning of P4 on a .13 micron process. The question is, when will Athlon be released on .13 and what happens then? All of the 'bees say that AMD has "shot its wad" with regards to .13, and all of the 'droids claim otherwise. Typical. The only reference to this that I've seen in publication is the anecdote on the Inquirer of Intel engineers taking apart the Athlon and finding smaller gate lengths than one would expect on .18. Of course, they are Intel engineers, and also, we all know just how infallible the Inquirer is.
