Tim, I think it may begin as denial and then morph into something else. For most it probably begins as what they are told when they are little. For either those or those who come to faith later I'll have to disagree about denial being the main motivation or reason for faith. Besides, some people don't feel anything deep down. Then by the definition I was using they can't be in denial about anything. They can be wrong. They can also lie, they can say one thing while they know another is true, but they are not decieving themselves so they are not in denial. Tim
