"Projections by both the Democratic and Republican
Congressional budget staffs suggest that unless at least
some of them are derailed, the nation will plunge more
deeply into debt or be forced to cut critical programs."

Unfortunately,I think that the Republicans have planned that all along. They have always been against most of the social programs and need a good reason to cut them. What better than to use the war on terrorism as the excuse. The rich want to keep their money and see the common folk as the servant class. We are in the process of creating an aristocracy. It's spun into something most believe is a democracy, but some of us know better.

There are even some poor fools that work for a living that believe that the wealthy shouldn't pay any taxes. It's kind of like the southern slaves thinking that their master deserves their lives. We still live in the days of slavery......it's just a different kind of slavery. We all work to pay for the major expenses of the wealthy.........heck they even expect us to be their breeding machine for their army. Their own kids don't fight..........Bush is a good example of that.
