And we still are. It's not as if the Bush Administration has totally abandoned research into alternative sources of clean energy.

Don't need a treaty to induce industry to embrace a cheaper alternative to burning fossil fuel. Therefore nothing has been lost by ditching this disasterous treaty.

And now the rest of the world is catching up to our President and Senate in that realization.

The Kyoto treaty could have been a real economic windfall for the United States. We were best positioned to develop and market the technology needed to reduce greenhouse gasses.
