It's just an added plus, but not a deciding factor for most, IMHO.>> Becky, You might be right about this but my point is that these apple only devices that seem to have some traction in the wintel world, why should apple make it easy for someone to just buy this thing without at least looking at the apple lineup? It really would only be a short term fix for apple until the consumer moves on to the next hot item. If apple products convince someone to buy a cpu, they have a customer for more than just an mp3 player, they have a customer that will probably run through several computer and software purchases, increase the market share and give developers more reason to develop products for apple. It may not convince them today, but maybe when they are ready to buy their next computer. There is alot of misinformation about apple products on the wintel side, having people at least looking at apple products to dispel some of the myths is a worthwhile thing in my opinion. The biggest myth out there is that there is no software out there for the mac. If you walk into one of the apple stores or one of the good apple retailers, then you see this is not the case. If you walk into an apple store today, you will see the new iMac with the whole digital office suite running and see how easy it is to use. You will see how cool it is to run iTunes on a mac. My feeling is don't allow people to easily bypass looking at the apple advantages. I would rather have the repeat business in a potential lifetime customer than just a one time flash in the pan product that might not even be hot next holiday season. Neal
