In any case, they don't ask what kind of rally can supposedly be brought down so suddenly by unfounded rumors such as the ones circulating this afternoon. If the rally had a firm foundation, everyone wouldn't be so ready to stampede toward the exits, but of course it didn't have any foundation at all.

As to whether they know anything about TA, I miss John Murphy on CNBC. Now they just scribble a few crayon marks on charts with the tellustrator, while hyping analysts' picks. 'AOL is nicely up after announcing what may be one of the largest losses in corporate history!' 'CSCO is rising on an uncertain outlook!!!!' 'GM is up after interest-free loans boosted sales for the month!!!!!' 'Now's the time to buy, now that everything is overvalued, overhyped and has a shooting star in its chart!!!!!!!'
