Shakespeare was a great presenter of man's weaknesses, and he probably was a first class psychologist. But we are talking about real life people many of whom look back and some tough guys who don't. Today we have a new word "collateral damage." Phrases like "harms way" to assuage the fear implied by the straight forward "danger" make things easier to swallow in this era of gentility and kindness.
