Gottfried: I find this thread as a wonderful resource for ideas and brain storming. Last week I was worried about my txn 2002 35 calls. You and a few others made some comments. I succumbed to the fear (kept my greed in check) and sold all my calls at 4.70 and 4.90 ( pocketing 14k before commissions). Today those calls are worth 3.50. I am going to wait for few days before I commit any money for short term trading. Unless Amat reaches 41 (which I don't think will happen any time soon). Last three months trading has been wonderful. Thanks to you and other member of this thread.

PS: The difference between a good trade and bad trade is hard to know at the time of trading. It is only afterwards one finds out. In my case after selling the calls, txn went down 3 points, It turned out to be a great trade. If the stock had gone up three points, it would have been a ok trade and not a great trade. On the other hand, if the stock had gone to 40, it would have been a really bad trade.

Therefore, I don't worry about the trades since I have no control over the direction. I can limit the damage or the profit.
