Milo, Re: "You are so excited about what your seeing you are not thinking about the system as a whole.

When AMD includes dual channel support for Athlon it will really begin to shine."

Even with a real dual channel memory system, it's not going to improve performance until AMD increases the bandwidth on the front side bus, and they aren't doing that until Hammer (and that won't be until next year). There aren't even any other dual channel systems for Athlon on any roadmap that I've seen. You seem eager to say "wait for dual channel", but if that's true, then Intel should benefit as well. At least with Intel, the front side bus will be increased this year to 533MHz. Do you have any evidence that AMD will do another improvement to the EV6 bus? As much as AMD will "shine" from dual channel DDR, Intel will have the same opportunity. You just seem so excited over this prospect, that you are not thinking about the rest of the industry as a whole.

Ban Ban MindBlo - re: "AMD's Athlon needs a larger FSB or dual channels to show it's true power. "

I thought the AThyWiper just needed a new QuantEnronSpeed number to show its true power !!!
