Hi James

It seems Adi Da, is rather ladi da, about the question of good and evil. To him they are simply illusions. YET! he clearly views teachings such as those found in the bible about the sinfulness of man as "obscene" and offers to tell us "THE TRUTH". A rather un-enlightened stance, when one considers that in doing so, he enters into the very dualism from which he seeks to escape. You follow this guy, seriously?

As far as his characterization of the sin as disease model leading to a life of indentured religious service in order to bring about your own cure. This is a fundamental description of works righteousness which is opposite of what the bible teaches. On the contrary it is Adi Da who teaches that you must rely on the Guru to "attain" enlightenment. It's a great deal of work, this realizing your godhood.

The Guru offers to show you the way, but you must do all the work, which never ends, and is never enough. It's a sham and a lie.

Christ did the work Himself and offers to give it to you for free. Not only did He live a sinless life, which is impossible for us to do, but he laid that life down as an atoning sacrifice for our un righteousness.

There is a saying in the art world, that also seems to apply to the Guru. "Those who can, do. Those who can't, teach.

The Guru says "it has begun, and with much hard work it, eventually might be accomplished by very few."

Christ hung on the cross and said "It is finished" and again;
"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

There is a religious system that leads to bondage and endless work, but it is not biblical Christianity.

Have a good day
Greg
