It seems Arafat is a Husseini. Here is a site freindly to Arafat which says his name is Mohammed Yasser Abdul-RaÕouf Qudwa Al-Husseini. Re. where Arafat was born - who knows - this site says BOTH Jerusalem and in Gaza Strip.
