Gottfried, I've built one of those too. I just upgraded it to a 1Ghz Tbird running XP. It now needs to be reset 2-3 times to boot. I downloaded the latest bios ( december ). Still no luck. That's why I am looking for a new board.

Re: Stability with win98 is unclear, I don't know if due to SW.

It certainly runs well with Windows 2000.

Tested with:

Office 2K
Visual Studio
Visual Studio .net beta
Mapinfo
Arcview
Delphi

Various other programs, never any problems. I know about a dozen people with this board, but I think they are almost all running Windows 2K. The only problem I've heard of is that it sometimes needs to be turned on at the power switch a second time (e.g. the first time it's turned on it sometimes doesn't boot and needs to be turned off and on again).

That's a problem I've seen in various machines from various companies over the years - Intel's 820, for example, was famous for it.
