NYPOST.COM Gossip: PAGE SIX By RICHARD JOHNSON with PAULA FROELICH and CHRIS WILSONUnfriendly skies

BILL Clinton had a near miss flying to Los Angeles on Saturday. Clinton was heading to JFK, to catch a United Airlines flight, when he got word that Monica Lewinsky was booked on a United Airlines flight at JFK. Clinton promptly canceled his reservation and took a plane out of Newark, says our airport spy. (As The Post reported yesterday, Clinton is getting $200,000 to speak at L.A.'s University of Judaism tonight.) But Clinton's mouthpiece, Julia Payne, sought to ground our gossip. "This is not true," she said. "We don't find out who is on the plane until we get on them."
