I believe in Mhz sells. That includes the fact that when you control high end pricing you control the low end pricing too.
That means that Intel is in control right now.
Upon second thought, if I was Intel, I would do the same thing and offer those slower speed Northwoods and replace Willamette with them and let AMD just have the scraps.

I just didn't expect to see a Northwood as low as 1600 Mhz, did you? Except in a notebook.
