Trade the futures 9 more months, and I bet you see more than just one spike like that. It's not IB's fault....

I keep my stops extremely tight, never place them at obvious spots, and have never had slippage of more than a point or so. Repeat - it is NOT the fault of IB! A few times each month, there is a Death Spike, and usually it happens when a move in one direction is spent, the market is thin, etc...

Most slippage I've ever had was 1 point I believe. I don't keep track. IB fills me usually at or better than my stop price.

I have had a stop slip over 100 points on me. I will try and find the chart. On that day the spike was over 300 points and as I remember only came back to within 150 points of where it started.
