Israel is Israel's friend.

That has been my contention all along. The Israel's will do what's in their own best interests.

And that's how the US should conduct ITS OWN foreign policy. We should not subjugate our security to the whims of pacifist Europeans, or to some non-democratic states, who would just as soon stab us in the back as be our friend.

The USS Liberty was a deliberate attach, as I've stated before. But what the Israelis had to gain in taking such a political risk remains controversial.

I'm quite sure if an Israeli spy ship was cruising just outside of our 12 mile limits while we engaged in a life or death war with our sworn enemies, we probably wouldn't have hesitated to destroy it either.
