my experience is in general, you'll only get their bottom line price if you're sitting in their chair and you tell them that you are prepared to purchase the car in the next ten minutes. Only then will the gloves come off.

Having said that, it sounds like you got a very good deal.

I also find it interesting that the Altima, which used to be significantly less than the Maxima seems to be more expensive than the Camry and Accord which are in the Maxima class.

btw, I did check out the carsdirect.com site when you first posted it. It's a good site. Again, thanks for sharing your first-hand experience.
