JIM: I agree that if the 1800 level doesn't hold it is likely that the 1600 will be tested. And of course I hope that one should HOLD, but I would rather "wait and see".<g>

<< If the 1600 scenario should occur, it would set up a very bullish double bottom...>>

I certainly wish and hope that the NAZ doesn't break the 1600, but I try to make myself remember "Do not fight the tape, the trend is your friend".<g> and W.B.advise: "The first rule is not to lose money."

I forgot who said: "It is better to listen to a bear who is wrong than a bull who is wrong because a bear only costs you lost opportunities and a bull costs you money."

The NAZ:

What difference in perspective a few months make!!.<g>

<<If the 1600 scenario should occur, it would set up a very bullish double bottom...>>

Now the question seems to be wether it will hold around the September Ls (1387) or wether it will go to test the October 98 L at 1357.<g>

I am taking a sabbatical until it can close above the 2100 and maybe until it can close above 2330.<g>

After all, according with the data from Invstors Intelligency this is not the right time of the year to be buying stocks, it is better to wait until November.<g>

Schaeffer's Investment Research as quoted on page 32 of Barron's [The data is actually based on research from Investors Intelligence]According to the data a six months investment of $10,000 from May 1st through October 31 would have returned only $11,743 over the past 51 years, but the same $10,000 invested for six months from November 1st to April 30 would have yielded $425,890

So I guess is better to wait until November to buy the SPY, DIA & the QQQ <g>
