The saying is for people who don't like to play "the short-end of the stick" and make money only on the long side.<g>

And of course with the premise that both the bull and the bear are WRONG.

A more important thing to remember is that the market works both ways. Ignoring the ripe shorting opportunities the past week is just plain silly. And when the selling dries up, go the other way. Too much hand wringing going on, and not enough market analysis..

Good points William:

The QQQ's offer a good oppty to go both ways... For now, down looks like the market's most likely travel itinerary...
