You have to convert the mp3's to .wav format. There are many converters out there and I am sure there are more sophisticated and versatile programs you can find on any freeware or shareware site but I use this one. It's not very pretty but it works for me.

Seems my Cdex is more highly thought of than I assumed. This is about beta8, I am using beta9. If you dig into the site posted by Kayaker it says that cdex has a problem with decoding mp3's with ID3v2 tags. Maybe this was fixed with beta9. I have not had any problems with 3v2's
