My God they are brassy.............does anyone actually believe those crooks? THey fired Andersen for telling the truth,..........for a change!! LOL

Let me get this straight......Enron is highly upset because Andersen shredded documents that would harm Enron!!! LOL

THe end of your article describes Fleisher's response to a partisan investigation:
"Fleischer on Thursday dismissed Waxman's review as ``one more partisan waste of taxpayers' money.'' He also renewed White House refusal to release information about Cheney's contacts with Enron, saying: ``If Washington is going down the usual path of partisan fishing expeditions, I think they're going to lose the support of the public."

Does this mean he agrees with Democrats that the Ken Starr investigation was a waste of the taxpayers money?

A partisan fishing expedition into someone's personal life is not the same as investigating some potential abuse of power to adversely affect millions of Americans while benefiting his "kenny boy". The energy policy of this administration needs to be researched and the details of Cheney's secret energy commission needs to be disclosed. Bush essentially allowed Enron to write their own book while "leaving California to the dogs in the energy business". Several months ago I argued on the Bush thread that Ca would take care of itself and in the end would come out ahead...........look how the situation has changed?
