Now I understand. So the center of distribution is really 1400, not 1700 to 1800, as the data suggests. AMD cleverly withheld a huge chunk of the 1500 and 1600 processors (processors which customers were willing to buy for > $100) just to skew the distribution curve, and to hide the fact that majority of the chips were below 1500.

Makes a sense - NOT.
