Bobcor -- just checking in before the loooong weekend, and saw your posts. Interesting observation on the Q1 issue. I wonder if that's why MSFT, for one, kinda guided down?

Now, if you're right, the question is, will we be able to coast along until Q1 earnings/warning season? Or will we totally tank here and now as company after company guides down for the next quarter? Or, conversely. . .

What if there's a slight ramp in business here in Q1 that stems from the new year/new budget phenomenon? It's certainly true in my business that a lot of companies cut back spending from September on, but have already loosened the purse strings this year. This buying binge might make Q1 stronger. . . but Q2 will suffer in turn. And since everyone is expecting Q2 to mark that BIG recovery. . . .

It's a guessing game, I guess. Maybe we're better off just watching the money press to see if it regains the trendline? Or maybe none of this matters at all? Just some pre-weekend thoughts prompted by yours. Good to see you back here. . . .

Looks like a classic bottom in Q1 to me. Will be interesting to see whether we dig out or double dip later this year.
