Is this all you are salivating about? even if it went directly to profit, it's not even enough to support current stock price.

Hey every little bit counts!

Joe-

Well, according to a lot of guys, nice and otherwise, who post on the other thread, there is a changing of the guard, a new leader in the CPU business, an new innovator who will soon put Intel on the ropes. If AMD were "swept from the surface of the earth," it would alleviate those possibilities, wouldn't it?

Let's think this scenario through. Suppose all of this capacity is in place today. How would things be different from what they are?

--O.K. Let's do that....

I guess Intel could make more chips. Where would these chips be sold for additional revenue? Suppose this tsunami completely swept AMD from the surface of the earth, with their $900 million and some change of revenue, and suppose Intel got at least half of it, meaning a little over $450 million. That's about 7% increase in revenue for Intel.

--A wise man once said, "A Half Billion here, a Half Billion there....." Sacrificing a bit of revenue for Increasing Market Share, was the Mantra of the AMDroids awhile ago. I'm not hearing that lately, now that the shoe is on the other foot. And if ya can make big mouth Jerry suffer a little in the process, the more the better.

--Oh, I don't intel has any intention of sweeping anybody anywhere. A Tsunami usually leaves survivors. No, elimination isn't the goal, Wouldn't want the DOJ sticking their noses in where they're not wanted, now would we.

Joe

--Who cares, intel made a profit, they're about to put major capacity on line, they have good 0.13u process when AMD's is so far a fantasy. Forgive me if I'm rude Joe, but turn around, I think you're about to get hit by some water.
