Does that settle it? There seems to be pressure for me to cry "uncle" or something. Admit I was wrong for buying back in 2000. Duh from a traders perspective. Huge opportunity cost from a long-term perspective. I've said all this before. After a person acts consistently the same long enough you should be able to tell if he or she is intellectually honest. >>Your honesty about what you stated and implied in the past is lacking and it is obvious to almost everyone. Bull, Glenn. What I posted is on the record. I'm not about to deny something I posted. That's the point I'm putting GST's face in, because if I didn't say it, then I didn't say it. You may notice that one of the rules on the Winners thread is not to misrepresent other's opinions:The rules here are fairly strict: Adhere to SI's TOS and then think Golden Rule. Tastelessness or thoughtlessness not welcome here. Those are things like repeated swearing, or lying, name-calling, posting "I told you so" more than a couple times a year, harassment, personal attacks, detraction, misrepresentation of others' positions, sniping, irresponsible agendas, vendettas, reckless ranting, undefended extremism or conspiracy theory, self-promotion, etc. Let see, what can I say about my feelings about Ariba in 2000? I didn't imply anything. I said they're the leader, growing at triple digits, cash-flow positive for seventeen quarters, gaining share, in league with IBM and I2. All that was true. You could even say I was enthusiastic about Ariba's prospects. That was before the Fed put the passengers through the windshield. So now, if you want to say I was enthusiastic about Ariba at 120, and here it is at 7, knock yourself out. I'm still enthusiastic about Ariba. Gene and Mark can tell you first hand when I decided eschew trading and stay invested in Feb 2000. Well, I did it. Tell me how that's dishonest in any form.
