The cruel joke is presently being played on both young and old alike. Kids upon whom this debt is being piled and the elderly who are being frightened into believing that changing the system means being thrown to the dogs. The only reason I can see for someone to fearmonger this issue is that if they position themselves as "saviors" like the Dems do, they can convince people to keep them in office., where they, themselves feed like pigs at the trough, taking care of their cronies. What should be be done and what can be done are really 2 different things. The first and most important is for people to be honest about the situation and as far as I can see, there is precious little of that happening.
